No Free Ride For Sen. Grassley

Senator Grassley has written a letter to Secretary Clinton regarding fraud prevention and detection fees.

D. Jackson Chaney has written a "dream draft" response.  All Sec. Clinton has to do is cut-and-paste on her letterhead.

Unpub. BIA Withholding Victory: El Salvador; Transgender

Prof. Geoffrey Hoffman writes:

"Please find attached a recent win from the UH Immigration Clinic in the BIA.  The supervising attorney was Janet Beck and the student who worked on the appeal was a current clinic student, Cheryl Lovelady.  A difficult case and especially on this issue involving a transgendered client.  Janet and two students had previously won withholding before the IJ for the same client.  The students who worked on the case previously were Ben Hamilton and Lisa Stewart.  I thought it would be especially instructive for other attorneys working on transgender issues."
